Appealing when waitlisted somewhere else?

<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I applied to both UC Irvine and Davis. I was rejected from Davis but waitlisted at Irvine (I haven't accepted the waitlist offer yet). I really, really, really DO NOT want to go to Irvine and would very much want to go to Davis. My question is:</p>

<p>Will Davis see that I'm waitlisted at UCI when they look at my appeal? I'm sending my appeal today but I don't want them to think I could just go to UCI instead if they see that (I don't know if the UC's talk to each other like that). </p>

<p>I know I should accept the offer on the waitlist, but I don't want it to diminish my chances to get into Davis off appeal. Any advice?</p>

<p>If you really, really want to go to Davis, then you should wait another year and TAG Davis.</p>

<p>I don’t think putting yourself on UCI’s waitlist will affect your UCD appeal chances…</p>

<p>Oh ok. Ya it doesn’t hurt to appeal, but get ready to TAG for next year. Don’t leave anything to chance this time.</p>
