Hello!
I got accepted into the School of Physical Sciences for Applied Physics but I want to change my major to aerospace engineering. I have already communicated with my admissions counselor and looked on the change of major prereqs as well as the College of Engineering website regarding this.
Does anyone have any personal experience or know anyone who has successfully appealed to get into engineering?
Any advice or tips will be helpful.
Thank you so much!
You do not appeal. You go through the process of changing majors. You have been accepted so the appeal process is for applicants that have bern waitlisted or rejected from the University.

@Gumbymom
Yes, I already know about the change of major process and the required prerequisites.
On the UCI Samueli School of Engineering website, there is a page that clearly states “Appeal Your Major”
http://engineering.uci.edu/admissions/undergraduate/appeal-your-major
The subtitle says: “Admitted to UCI but not to engineering? Here’s your second chance; appeal your major”
Also, my admissions counselor reassured me that there was indeed an appeal process to get into engineering.
Thank you for the information.
@Gumbymom Thanks for taking the time to comment on my thread
