Has anyone gotten accepted through their appeal yet?
When do we hear back from Irvine for the appeal decision? I think it's after May 1 so they can see how many people SIR'ed but is there any specific date?

I sent mine on Friday! I know that last year people heard in mid-May.

Do they notify you through email of your appeal decision or do you have to check the Irvine message center regularly?

Did your irvine message center say anything about receiving your appeal yet? I turned mine in on Thursday :(

Nothing as of yet. I don’t think we’ll be hearing anytime soon. Give or take a month from now.
I turned mine in on Wednesday.

Irvine just updated my application and said the status of my appeal is pending. So anxious to find out what will happen!

How did the application look like? Did it go from “We regret to inform you blahblahblah” to a completely different message?

@timexcapsule, it had the same message that has always been there, but now on the bottom it says appeal status is pending.

Mine still says the same old…

That’s odd. I’m guessing your appeal still hasn’t arrived to the campus yet. When did you mail your appeal? What shipping did you choose? As long as you had it postmarked before or on April 15th you’ll be fine.

i mailed mine on Friday and my status hasn’t changed…any idea how long it’ll take??? standard mail

I mailed my appeal on wednesday the 10th, but my status hasn’t changed yet… The people from the post office said that the appeal will get there on the 12th. how do i know if they recieved my appeal or not? Am i supposed to wait for the appeal decision on the uci admission application website?

@Wonderboy24, you mailed using standard shipping which is usually 4 days to around 8. That’s not including Saturday and Sunday so I’d say they still haven’t received your appeal yet.
@Mango101, yours should be there soon if you did the standard shipping. Also, they might have not gotten to your appeal yet. They do get a few hundred appeals and in some cases a thousand.
