<p>sooo..who appealed for schools!? I did for Berkeley...i got in last year but turned them down for U of Miami...LOOOng story...anyways, my GPA is higher, im studying the same major I went to miami for, all pre reqs done...etc. yada yada...who else is with me in this nutty process?</p>

<p>what or how do you appeal? is it when you get rejected, you ask for an appeal?</p>

<p>yury you don't ask for an appeal, you just do it, (mail in a letter with new and compeling info) </p>

<p>ohh also mia, cal might not have like'd that you did your pre reqs at miami, people who transfer from a cali cc have all their classes pre-approved by the uc's</p>

<p>my friend last year applied to berkeley from a cali cc but had taken some classes from a cc in washington, dc before he moved, i think berkeley might have freaked because they made him submit all the course overviews, textbooks used and wanted letters from the teachers making sure that the classes covered their specific curriculum</p>

<p>how exactly do I go about doing it? Just sending in a formal letter with new information? Also, the end of my rejection letter says "please understand that all decisions of the committee are final" does this mean I CANT appeal or what</p>

<p>hey sorry this took so long..ya, it was in by the 15th...and my pre reqs were actually done at a CCC...Miami was just further undergraduate work,,,(i had to start as a freshman again because it is a four year program no exceptions...Blah)</p>

<p>basically Yury, an appeal is a chance to state your cse if you felt you were wrongly denied beause of new info you can provide or if your application was wrong..or something along those lines....</p>

<p>in my case, i sent in my letter of acceptence from last year, a dvd of work i have been doing in theatre around Miami and Orange County and, 3 letters of req, one from my current job that i work full time in the entertainment industry (that was not on my app) and all my transcripts..of course, that included my actual letter. </p>

<p>Its to late to do for Berkeley know but Im sure you can do it other places!!</p>
