Does anyone know how to make an appeal to the Financial Aid Office? Does anyone have any experience doing this with the USC financial aid office? I do not think we got enough money and I was wondering how I should respond. Anyone with experience with this situation? Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks.

You better get moving quick. They're processing appeals last week and this week. There is no formal form just put a cover letter summarizing your reasons for the appeal. You should include any and all new info as to why they should change it. If you don't have anything new like an 06 tax return, change in income, etc you're probably wasting your time. Asking to just reconsider without something new and compelling is a waste of time. We just got ours back with no change on the need side because the scholarships were so high even though I submitted some very compelling new info.

If the reason for your appeal is that a parent (or parents) was laid off, they'll want you to include their letter of termination and last paystub. I'm having a hard time thinking at the moment, it's early in the morning, but for whatever reason you're appealing, include documentation of it.

Thanks for the responses.
