Appealing/regrading a PSAT

Alright, so I got my PSAT back and had a 211 (cutoff score for last year in Indiana). However, I was looking at my answer sheet and realized that my last answer to math was wrong. It was supposed to be 1/2, but supposedly, I gridded in 1/. That's all, no 2, no anything after the 1/. I got my test booklet back, and I checked it. I wrote down 1/2 as my answer (this is in my booklet, not my answer sheet, since I don't have a copy of that).

I swear I wrote down and gridded in 1/2.

What can I do?

I’m not entirely sure that you even can have the PSAT regraded. But if you wanna try, here’s the contact info:

[PSAT/NMSQT: Contact Us](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Contact Us – SAT Suite | College Board)

Please tell us if they regraded it for you…Becuase the same thing happened to mine. For one of the grid-ins…I had 166 written in by test booklet…and I could’ve sworn I had filled that in…but when I got my answer sheet it said I had filled in 6…

I would go for it. It can’t hurt.

My college counselor faxed my test booklet (which probably doesn’t matter, but is proof that I have the right answer - and it has been under lock and key since October), in addition to my answer sheet printout, asking them to check.

We’ll see, I’ll keep you guys updated.

Has anyone ever heard of a PSAT test score being changed with hand scoring? My daughter has a block of 5 answers in CW that are off by one space (B vs C, C vs D). If they were all correct her score would be high enough for NMSF. We are debating whether or not to pay the fee. The guidance department is digging up her test booklet to see if she made notes on the answers.

OK, well, is there actually a fee you can pay to get it regraded? I know you can pay to get your answer sheet for ten bucks or whatever, but is there actually a place you can get it regraded.

Like I said, I’m pretty sure there is no official regrading service for the PSAT. You’re going to have to just contact collegeboard and try to figure out if they will do it.

Update: You have to check your sheet yourself. It costs ten dollars. I had to mail in for my sheet yesterday. There is another step if you find a mistake.
