If you don't send in a SIR before the deadline of one of the schools that has accepted you, then you won't be going to college in the fall unless your appeal works.</p>
<p>BTW "appeal" is a process, not a goal. You are appealing your rejection in hopes of getting the decision reversed, you are not trying to "get appealed".</p>
<p>In the somewhat unlikely event (historical rates are well under 10%) that your appeal is approved and you are admitted, then you write to the school where you sent in your original SIR and tell them you won't be attending after all. You will lose your deposit at the school when you do this.</p>
<p>Yeah, you should definetly send in your SIR to a university you were accepted to already. If your appeal is accepted, then you can write to the college telling them you won't be attending. As far as helping you appeal, use information that is new and signigicant (i.e. Personal problems, 7th semester grades, etc) that you were *not *able to present through your initial application.</p>
