Appealing UCLA decision?

I am probably gonna appeal to UCLA. It was my first choice and I got into Cal, but I still want to go to UCLA. DO you think my father losing his job recently would be a personal circumstance that could help on the appeal? I have heard that you should keep it succinct and I feel like I could go into detail more on my circumstances during my 10/11 grade rather than going into detail about my family circumstances right now. Also, do you think I would need to describe what would happen with my situation now that my father lost his job and what the ramifications would be or just say it without describing the reasons why this is a problem?

What does your father losing his job recently have to do with you going to LA? Unless it’s a family circumstance that would require you to stay in the LA area with your family or something…then I don’t see how that would even make sense. I’m just another senior planning on appealing, but there have been quite a few people in the past who’ve asked the same questions about similar situations…so you should go thru the threads and see other peoples’ responses to see if any could relate to your inquiry.

Should I include my transcript in my appeal? My overall high school GPA is 3.67 and I get 3.6 for the first semester of my senior year. Is it gonna hurt me since my grades dropped slightly?

it says that they would accept letters of rec, however i think my guidance counselor already sent in my letters of rec the first time. do you guys know if they read it the first time around? i was under the impression that they didn’t so i thought i would just send them in again
