I'm an incoming college freshman this fall.
Through my school's online account, I was able to view the financial aid awards that I could receive for this year. However, I noticed that all of the awards were federal based. I was looking through my school's website and i noticed that they had a myriad grants that i was pretty eligible for. My question now is am i still able to appeal for those grants so that they could be in effect for my freshman year? Or am i limited to the financial aid awards that were published in my online account? I really want to explore all my options. I'm making sure my parents spend the least amount of money as possible :|

What are the other grants that you’re eligible for? Are those institutional grants? State grants?

What school is this? Are your stats high for the school?

Santa Clara University.
The grants that i’m planning to appeal for (if possible) are all institutional grants.
My stats are pretty high.
3.7 GPA and an SAT score of 1420 (SCU doesnt consider the writing section)
The grants arent merit based, probably except for the one wherein you have to be a graduate of a jesuit high school. That’s one of the few grants with a requirement. Most of the ones i’m considering are mostly need based.

puffnoodle, I sent you a PM.

thumper, were you able to get my reply? :)
