My unweighted GPA is 3.8, whereas my weighted is 4.13 (on a 4.0 scale where AP counts as 5). My intended major is business economics.
My extracurriculars include national, state, and local awards for being finalists at debate tournaments. I am my team’s debate captain, I attended the governor’s scholars program of my state (the program selects a small number of applicants to attend a college campus and students are awarded with full tuition to almost every instate college), I’m an academic all-american through the national speech and debate league.
Additionally, I’m apart of beta club where I volunteer in my city, and am taking 5 AP classes this year. I’m mixed (half asian and white) from a low income family.
Hello, I was in your exact situation last year since I had a lower UW GPA, but I managed to get in. I believe my unweighted is the same as yours, and my weighted GPA was only a 4.04 (My school only offers 4 APs). I’m sure you have a decent chance since your ACT scores are higher than their average. You still have time, don’t stress about if you’re going to get in and write some amazing essays; they really help your chances. Best of luck.
