Indian Male from California at a competitive public high school
Please chance for Harvard MIT, CMU, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Georgetown,Columbia,,Duke, Wharton, CalTech, UCLA, Vanderbilt, UChicago,UCSD

Applicant with Strong ECs( Please chance for Harvard MIT, CMU, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Georgetown

Most likely, you will get into the UC’s, the other schools are all somewhat random in their decision making, but with your scores and list of ECs I’d say you will get into at least one of the highly selective schools, if not more. Did you apply early anywhere?

Hmmm for almost all of the colleges you are applying to you are good to go. However the Ivy Leagues can be quite interesting with selection so nothing is for sure with them. There is really no flaws in your profile I only wish you took more AP classes however you took the hardest AP classes and aced them all. The only thing I am wondering is what is your class rank and your intended major? That could give all of us a better a prediction of your chances. (Would you mind chancing me? I just placed a post!)

I am Top 15 In my school and my intended major is computer science. My USACO award is for top 20 in the whole US. Please Chance me!

Wow! Those Olympiads are so competitive and you won so many! They are surely prestigious!
Honest Chance:
Harvard-60
CMU-75
UCLA-95
Cal Tech- 60
Stanford- 40
Yale-50
MIT-78
Duke-98
Wharton- 81

@fu11rideschool Thanks for the Chances! @Sanimr @detwylder Chance me for Harvard?

It’s really hard to say with Ivies, it really is a crap shoot. That said, my son applied to MIT, with really great EC’s
although, yours are awesome! However, he had much higher GPA, testing and will have taken 17 AP classes and georgia tech classes. He’s #1 in class, I’m just telling you this so you get a perspective of other candidates. Maybe you’ll both get in, maybe neither, that’s the thing with the ivies, it’s a one in 12 shot. BUT, I have to say, it seems what you don’t have in the “school” stuff, you certainly impress in the EC’s! GOOD LUCK : )

THanks @ZBD5421 for your input!

Your GPA is really low.

Whether your accepted or rejected, I wouldn’t be surpirsed either way, it’s probably a coin flip for the ivies, everything else in.

How do you have this many ECs!

@Pinxxel I really can’t say for sure because like I said Harvard’s selection is quite complex I will say 65%

@mmmmmmmmm My school is very hard and I am still top 15 of a class of over 1800 in my year despite the 3.71 UW GPA.

@Pinxxel If others from your school have gotten in to top colleges with around your GPA then it’ll be looked over.

@mmmmmmmmm Thanks for the input!

Anyone else chance me?

@Pinxxel After discussing with other friends, I’d say you have a good chance for all those schools. By golly! How did you get all those great EC’s?

@Sanimr Why only 65 percent? He has a stellar application and I think he should have a higher chance! What weaknesses does his application have?

@detwylder @awright2130 @stanfordAlumnus02 @HarvardGenius @Harvard

@fu11rideschool I am not saying he is a bad student but you have to understand that Ivy Leagues are very random about there selection. You could have a 4.0, 16 AP Classes and a 2400 on the SAT with a bunch of ECs and get rejected while someone with a 1800 with a mediocre profile can get in. You will never know.

@Sanimr Isn’t that unfair? Why do Ivies do that?

@fu11rideschool Hey that’s how life goes you have to remember so of them could be recruited athletes or legacies. Hey do you think you could chance me? I liked how you thoroughly read his post and I would appreciate it. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1712976-chance-me-uf-ga-tech-nyu-emory-and-georgetown-will-chance-back.html#latest
