It's been 3 days since I've sent my common app for Cornell, but I have not yet received an email from them with my ApplicantID and pin. Should I call them, or wait?

The weekend just ended, and it is holiday season. I’m not sure if the process is automatic or not, but if you look at their twitter (not sure if cc will allow the link, but I’ll try), https://mobile.twitter.com/cornelluao it says admissions is closed until January 5th. So calling probably wouldn’t do you any good anyways.

If you have the confirmation email for both the application and writing supplement from the commonapp, you should be good. Even if you call after the deadline you can easily prove you applied before.

And I’m sure you’ll get it soon anyways.

Don’t worry. It takes a few days to get the confirmation email. Always make sure to check your spam though.

I can’t imagine how slammed the admissions office is going to be on Jan. 5th when they reopen!

Update: I got a confirmation e-mail from every school I’ve applied to, except Cornell.

It took a number of days for my D to get her confirmation email when she went ED. I’m sure it’s on its way.
