i'm not sure buti think we're supposed to get them around april or may. they probably haven't published the latest student handbooks and stuff yet.

So when do we get financial aid results back? Will it be mailed or e-mailed?

I just got denied for the second time. I don't get how that happens when they have an 80% acceptance rate. That leaves only a 20% chance of being denied, yet I seem to have fallen into that category twice! I don't get it! I have a 3.6 GPA, TONS of extracurricular activities, was the captain for my high school basketball team, 4 years of 6:00AM seminary, etc...

Well, I've decided to appeal the decision this time. Most of my family lives in Provo and I would really love to be around them. Does anyone have any idea how the appeal process works at BYU? I've written a letter but I'm sure I would have to present myself to a hearing. If there is anyone from admissions I would greatly appreciate the help. I'm going to call on Monday to inquire about it. Looking forward to the Rexburg Temple dedication tomorrow! =D

well i got accepted on thursday.

3.4 UW GPA and 23 ACT

Early morning seminary
4 years of FBLA and Rugby.

I know my bishop wrote a very good recommendation for me because he really wants me to go there.

I'll most likely be going.

congrats brotha
lookin forward to meetin you there.
wut's ur name? just so i won't be calling you "the smash" even at byu :P

You are my hero for playing rugby. and haha, I just noticed you were a fellow cheesehead. I used to live in wisconsin, Manitowac, Wisconsin to be specific.

Bump.
I am in a similar situation as gnookergi.
Anyone done an appeal for BYU? (specifically BYUH)

They are usually really firm about their BYUH decision. Its main purpose is to educate the kids from the Pacific Islands, so if your not from there its really hard to get into and I think an appeal would have little affect.

Byuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Would being morman increase or decrease you chances of acceptance? Do they want diversity in faiths, or just straight up LDS?

thanks guys
