So who's applying? I am rd. Probably to the college of arts and sciences as a pre-pharm/chem major. :D

Hello there! I may end up as one of the class of 2010. I will more than likely end up as a Biology or chemistry major with a minor in french.

Have you thought about applying for the morehead? My best friend won it last year, but I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to try.

i'm applying early so i'm working on my application now....i really hope i get in. i guess i'll just have to wait and see. i want to major in business.
unc = # 1 school in the world

Yo! I'll be applying OOS from GA.

hey everyone - im applying OOS early from illinois, either business or journalism (or both) major.

I'm applying EA from TN, probably business or economics major.

I don't think I'm going for morehead. I'll be suprised to just get accepted, so morehead is way out of my league :p

i thought there is no application for morehead - dont they just pick you out of the regular applicant pool?

Salutations to my fellow applicants. :)

I'm applying EA to CAS as an English major. Though all of the colleges on my list are "#1s", UNC is the #1 of those. I'm crossing my fingers like you wouldn't believe. Especially since I'm out-of-state and we all know how that is in terms of admissions. (Only 18% OOS)

Good luck to everyone!

I'll admit UNC isn't my first choice, but it's tied for a very close 2nd. :p

SAT scores anyone?

I'm applying from Florida, early. I'm really getting to like this school, though I still may end up going to U.F., since I have Florida Pre-Paid AND Bright Futures AND National Merit. Arrgh, why does everyone want to pay me to stay in state?!

If you count highest SAT scores, counting the old test:
Math: 760
Verbal: 790
[Writing: 760]
=1550, [2310]

On new SAT alone, cumulative = 2260.

i wish i lived in florida

Regarding the Morehead

In state students can self-nominate if not nominated by their respective high schools. Out of state students must either attend one of the approximately 150 nominating schools outside NC each of which can nominate one student per year, or be selected by the admissions office from the admissions pool (usually the EA pool) for consideration by the Morehead selection committee.

EA from FL, legacy

i'm in the same situation as minervamoon.
100% bright futures is A LOT to give up

i only have a 1900 thus far, without prep
anyone know the average SAT score for legacies at UNC?

Im applying EA, in-state.

660 V
720 M
770 W
= 1380, 2150
I am thinking of retaking

I'm applying as a biology and classics major. :)

old SAT: 800 M,760V
new SAT: 800 M, 800 V, 770 W

Less than two months until the deadline!

Have Morehead nominations been done yet?

ummm, I'm not sure. We had an announcement at our school the other day for people who plan to apply for the morehead. I guess they will nominate some people from the sign-up sheet. I'm not sure how many people can be nominated. I may just apply directly. I'm still deciding. As I mentioned before, one of my best friends received it last year, and she didn't expect it at all. She didn't fill the application out until the day before the deadline.

I'm applying OOS from NJ, maybe a major in english?

SAT: 780 W, 700 M, 690 CR

UNC is my #1 choice as well, oos from PA...

790 math, 720 verbal, 680 essay (blah)

going pre-med/chemistry -- i hope i get in**
