Applicants for the class of 2017

Good to know about the mailings!! I would love to get that actual acceptance letter a few days after the euphoria from Friday settles down. It would be wonderful. sighs but only if I get accepted in the first place…

When I brought up the whole numbers thing with my parents, they said they imagined it was because of the scandal…but by the time the news broke the deadline had already passed. hmm. I only hope that it works in our favor. I have this fear they’re going to think, “Well, the lower numbers now mean that more people will just apply later.” I talked with my guidance conselor, however, and she said there wasn’t a way lower applicant numbers wouldn’t work in our favor. We’ll have to see…

In less than 48 hours…we’ll know our fates :/

hello! i’m applying early decision too. i think the lower amount will work in our favor…they’ll have room to accept more people in a smaller pool. bon jovi’s daughter may have something to do with it.

can’t believe it’s in 2 days. a close friend of mine was just rejected from upenn so not exactly a confidence booster. i really hope we all get to be classmates!

376 may be a decrease from last year but it’s still their second highest so far. Last year’s was a record high.

Good luck!

i juuuuuuust wwaaaaaaant tooooo geeeeeeeeet iiiiiinnnnnnnnnnn

I do believe that the Bon Jovi incident occurred after the ED deadline. While I don’t think it will affect the ED admission decisions, the RD applicant pool may change slightly. Maybe.

I hope the lower applicant numbers work in our favor, good luck to everyone! I’ll be sure to post my decision either way. :s

I’m so tempted to try to count them…

Haha I tried to count them…my dad and I guessed there was 50-75 in there.
You guys. YOU GUYS. Less than 24 hours!!! I hope we are all future classmates, up on the hill :)

Hello everyone. I’ve just come across this college and I’m very interesting in learning more and applying. I particularly enjoy the open curriculum and the small, community feel. I don’t mind the obscurity of the college (no one back home knows it), but does anyone know how successful students are after graduation (grad school, law school, jobs)? Thanks a lot and I hope to hear good news for those early decision applicants!

Nearly 3 hours. To anyone who interviewed-- did you get something in the mail after from the director of admissions saying she heard from your interviewer that she was impressed with your blah blah blah?

I got a letter from her that said I heard from Alex (the girl who interviewed me) that she was impressed with your interview and your music blog (something I told her about). We are glad you’re interested etc. Did anyone get anything like that? I know everyone at least gets a letter from the person who interviewed them, but I’m not sure if it’s just standard bull or legit.

I got a letter from the director too. They were glad to hear about my interest in theatre. I’d love to think otherwise, but I’m pretty sure that’s very standard

I asked a friend who also interviewed and she did not. Who knows? Maybe we’re just awesome? Hopefully haha.

Would they really take the time to mark out something specific from everyone if they weren’t actually impressed? I don’t know. It’s all politics.

I also got an letter after I interviewed. Hopefully it is a good sign!!

2 hours!!!

i’m going to pass out. so many of my friends have been both rejected, deferred, and accepted. too crazy.

I certainly do hope those letters mean we are awesome!! Anyway…less than two hours!! I’m trying to find ways to kill the time. I have butterflies in my stomach

lmj21682 (and others)- I go to Hamilton and I’d be happy to answer any questions.

Goodluck to all the ED applicants! It’s funny feeling so removed from the college process now that I’m here; I completely forget that admissions is constantly searching out new freshman. Hopefully all goes well.

Thank you so much! So, do those letters from admissions mean something or are they just standard? It was specific to the interview I had and sent after I got a letter from the girl who interviewed me

You’ll know in 45 minutes :D

The letters might be standard, they seemed a bit insert-something-here-here-and-here-ish. I also got a post card from my interviewer.

Youch, rejected. :s
