Hey Guys,
As a prospective international student from overseas with no standardized test scores done other than TOEFL, Hamilton seemed like one of my few options; I am a Straight As student. The problem is the maximum I can pay for college is $5000/year for the full cost of attendance (room, board, tuition and miscellaneous expenses). Is the financial aid office likely to offer me such a very generous scholarship if my application is highly competitive?
Also, is graduation from here with a 3.5+ GPA likely to get me a spot in an Ivy League Grad School?

Hi, osamasayegh,

In regards to question 2, it would depend on what ivy grad school and what course of study-along with how well you did on your GRE or other testing. Certainly, if you were to do well at Hamilton that would translate into grad school opportunities at many colleges, including the ivy universities. NB : when you decide on a course of study in grad school, you may realize that an ivy institution is not the best choice.

Just applied RD and needed an outlet for my exuberance! Best of luck to all the other hopeful Hamiltonians.

You need to learn to spell “deferred” correctly.

Applied ED2!

does anyone know when they post the decisions for ED2?

from the website:

Plan II

Application Deadline: January 1
Decision Notification: by February 15
Regular decision candidates may convert to EDII by filing an Early Decision agreement no later than midnight on Monday, January 28. Students will receive notification of Hamilton’s admission decision by February 15.

ED 1 the decisions came out 8 PM New York time on Dec 15th . So I would suspect the same on Feb 15th.

I got in Hamilton for ED1 as an international student and still waiting for the mail or an acceptance package. Does Hamilton send any? Did any anyone receive the mail from Hamilton yet? BTW, good luck for all who applied Hamilton for ED2 and RD!

My Hamilton page says 8pm ET on Feb 11

Check your admission’s checklist. I submitted mine last week and now that interview space is checked off.
