hey, peeps. I’m thinking of applying to Exeter, Andover, Mercersburg, Hotchkiss, Choate, Episcopal, and maybe Saint Paul’s. I would be applying as a freshman.

Ahh! So excited for everything to begin! Its so boring reading all their websites and not being able to do much more yet.

request admission materials. if the school is open they will send them to you for example, andover is open right now.

2010- we went over this lol im still thinking abt it tho

rad, I was a 2010 applicant with you guys. I got into exeter. PM me if you want any tips! That goes for everyone else too!

I feel drowned by tips. I feel as though I already know what I need to fix and what I did wrong. Which I have fixed, for the most part.

ok no prob. Just know that I am here ;)

oh cutiedida, you’re so luckyyy (ok not really, not too much of the process has to do with luck, i know, but still, figure of speech)

my athletic ECs suck but at this point, there’s not much i can do about it… i can’t get a national ranking overnight now, can i? :(

the andover class of '14 is amazing. there’s a girl who got published in an awesome literary magazine whose name i’m not going to mention asdfsgljlgs (so jealous)

Don’t worry about athletics! The only sport I have ever played is horseback riding (obviously not a sport at any of the schools I wanted to apply to) for 8 years, absolutely NOTHING else! They didn’t care. It was my passion for a long time, I explained why that kind of faded, and they thought it was fine. I had strong community service, grades, and SSATs. Being a dual citizen didn’t hurt either! I honestly don’t think Exeter wants all athletic kids, nor does any other BS

Exeterexeterexeter waahh =[

Though what you COULD do dida is give me some reasons to apply to PEA!

The people there are warm and friendly

Though it is one of the larger schools, the sense of commnity is amazing.

The number of classes offered makes it very easy to find what you like and are good at.

No one is discriminated against; a lot of diversity

Harkness is amazing

The campus is beautiful

The kids all want to be there

I will prob think of more later

oh also:

all people look more attractive in formal dress code. period. :p

arghh I wanna go. Rad you should apply, foo. I mean, it’s Exeter haha

I hope I get accepted into Exeter next year. I love the Harkness classes. Currently, I have Paideia Seminar once in a while and its just like Harkness! I think both methods are based of the Socratic Method.

^they are.
a lot of schools use the harkness method.

I am so sad! I was going to apply this year for deerfield and andover but I can’t anymore. My dad just got diagnosed with cancer.

haha i don’t think schools are what you need to be focusing on right now… :(

i hope your dad gets better soon!! <3 <3 <3

oh no! i wish your dad and your family luck on getting through that and better.

I’m so sorry!!! Could you tell us how…serious it is? Is there a way to cure cancer guys…

Can we help you?

OMG that is such a coincidence. After Exeter I want to become a pediatric oncologist. So either Harvard or Oxford for me!

On a different note, my parents are moving back to Europe form New York. To London AND Amsterdam. So they will be so far away! It is actually kind of scary!

Ilovethattree: i hope that you caught it early and he gets better soon! My uncle just had ball cancer for the second time and had his second ball removed. They pretty much told him that if it comes back again it will be in his lungs or brain. SUCKS
