some, maybe. But def: Emma Willard, MX, NMH, Kent*, maybe a few others.

Good luck u guys. My best friend and my sister will b applying as well. Mayb I should introduce them to cc as well lol

Oops sorry haha.

Please do jyun! LOL’d at your location!

Hope the economy gets better.

Haha, yup I guess I didn’t really realize what weird implications RIP would have… YOU’RE NOT DEAD, RAD! (At least not to us on cc anyway. ;))

To all peeps applying next year: GOOD LUCK!!! Everybody is rooting for you. :)

Jyun212, definitely tell your sister to come on here!

my best friend who was wl this year is trying again next year as a junior repeat. he liked this site idk if he made an account yet

bump

What are your guys school lists so far?
ME: L’ville, MX(!!!), Emma Willard, PEA, NMH, Taft,Governor’s
(rough list)

Rad, so I’m guessing you didn’t get FA for NMH?

no trying again next year though, hopefully they won’t skimp out on me twice :P

added groton… at first i thought that small schools would be kind of ehh, but then i realized that it would actually be kind of awesome

so right now, groton, middlesex, deerfield (???), loomis, NMH and concord

Groton is a nice school but kids there start in the 8th grade. Can any current students comment on the assimilation of new 9th graders?

oh yeah, and groton

@pulsar: only a fraction start in 8th grade from what I hear. Most go in 9th.

Rad, If you went to NMH with FP this year, did you check whether they will consider you for FA next year? That way you can have a foot in the door and be ahead by one year of BS experience as opposed to going next year.

many famililies can’t afford to pay 40000+ for one year, with the uncertainty of receiving any the next year.

My list so far:
Andover
Brooks
Choate
Hotchkiss
Kent
Lawrenceville
Loomis Chaffee
Middlesex
NMH
Peddie
PEA
SMS
SPS
Tabor
Taft

(Alphabetical order!!!)

oooh the alphabetical order makes your list very snazzy haha, and I have like 1/2 of those

I don’t know how to eliminate any more. haha. but 15 is just way too many. I would like it to be around 10 at the most.

Maybe I will schedule interviews like in September/october and then eliminate a few.

My list changes like crazy, one minute I have 3 schools, the next, I add on 7 more and take away 2 and add 3…But I’ll have to pay for some the application fees, so that’s my way to not make the list too large

same. but I don’t want to be rejected from all my schools again so I want to apply to as many as possible. haha

I agree, and I know its crazy to be worried now considering that I have not even started the process but oh well.
And this is kind of a random question, but does anyone know when the proper time to request viewbooks/ school information is?

i think you can request them at any time. right now they’ll send you the 2010-2011 edition, and they’ll send you the new 2011-2012 edition when it comes out.
