<p>I applied on December 6th using the commonapp to all the schools to which I'm applying. My transcript and a written recommendation was sent out on the 18th. Colby requires a second recommendation, and I know that my teacher has already written it, but I think he's having trouble getting it online. The deadline is January 1st, and Colby has everything else of mine that's required except that recommendation. Is it a big deal if my second recommendation arrives later than the 1st?</p>
<p>No. Stuff from teachers and school can be a little late. Colleges know that is out of your control. Stuff that is in your control needs to be on time. You will be fine. If it ends up that the teacher doesn't do it at all, college will let you know that it is missing.</p>
