Application essay - Teleportation device

<p>Hello,
For my application I wrote an essay answering the teleportation device question. The idea is very original (I think) and the argument is shown very systematically and thoroughly, but it seems quite different from what most others wrote in terms of style. My answer is extremely serious, I'm not trying to be funny or bubbly, or melodramatic. I noticed most other essays talk in terms "breaking human frontiers" and "transcending such and such..." and "ultimate journey of human kind etc..." My essay doesn't have any drammatization, basically emotionless but the language is very light and it isn't depressing or anything. It is very logical, direct, to the point and very unpoetic. Is it a problem that my essay has this kind of style?</p>

<p>i don't think there necessarily is a problem. chicago wants to see how you think--if you reasoned and wrote well, it should be fine.</p>

<p>Ditto. From everything I've read and heard, if you can reason logically and express yourself well in writing, or if you're bubbly, humorous, witty, and quirky, it's a winner at UoC.</p>
