Application Essays

So I was wondering if anyone had any good application essay ideas? I'm stuck because I can't seem to think of anything that is exciting or makes me extremely different. Don't get me wrong, I'm a solid top ten student but i dont have any stories of allnight study sessions or living in a tree to keep it from getting cut down or anything like that. That brings me to my next question....is it ok to lie?

Don't lie!!! That's a terrible idea! Go to these links -- she has some good suggestions for college essays:

yea lol i know i wouldnt actually lie it was just me bing desperate for ideas

Any stories about you that your parents tell over and over again? things your friends tease you about? anything that you could turn into a story that shows a little insight to who you are? something from your past that you could relate to who you are today?

I would suggest putting aside the prompts, and just take some time to think about things you wouldn't mind writing about and showing to people that don't know you at all. Then after you come up with a story or two, go back to the prompts and find a way to make it fit...
