<p>Hey guys! Over the summer, I received an e-mail from Rice saying that my application fee had been waived because I did well on an AP exam. However, I can't find said e-mail.... I think it said to select "Other" on the Common App for the fee payment, but I was hoping someone could confirm that because I can't find information about this on their website.</p>

<p>Choose “Other Fee Waiver Request” when you reach the payment page.</p>
<p>I would be surprised if Rice sent this email. It would be best to contact them if possible to clarify. I suppose that they can send you a bill though if they don’t accept your waiver :-).</p>

Many people get that email, for either AP test scores, or designating Rice on National Merit Scholar program.</p>
<p>My daughter received the same email and the fee waiver worked great. Choose other fee waiver request.</p>
