<p>I've heard that if you visit a school and give your name, they will waive your app fee if you apply. Apparently a lot of schools do this. Is this true, and if so what exactly has to be done for them to waive the fee, like on the common app. Thanks.</p>

<p>There may be more than on that list. I didn’t see Pitt on it, but have had kids tell me they filled out an application during their overnight visit (during the summer), which had no fee.</p>
<p>^yeah, I thought there were more schools than that as well. I’d like to know if NYU, columbia, villanova, cornell or the sunys offer this.</p>
