Application Fee Waiver!!!

hey

i am a prospective transfer student. i am planning to apply to some colleges for fall09. but it will be financially hard for me to pay application fee to every colleges

so im planning to use application fee waiver. but i have no idea how should i get it?? to whom should i contact in my college so that s/he can make a fee waiver?? and how can make it more polite because i fear they may hold some grudges??

Just use the NACAC fee waiver. I was accepted to Cornell and I used one, just had a counselor in my schools financial aid office fill it out for me. All colleges might now take it though, and if they aren't need blind it might them you need a lot of aid, but I imagine it would depend on how the school handles fee waivers.

Here is the link: <a href="http://www.nacacnet.org/CareerDevelopment/Resources/Documents/Feewaiver.pdf%5B/url%5D">www.nacacnet.org/CareerDevelopment/Resources/Documents/Feewaiver.pdf</a></p>

You can use the NACAC, but I think there is a limit to the number you can use. Many schools also have their own fee waivers. You simply call admissions and request one ( or find it on their online app). They usually grant it, so don't be deterred by them saying "we will need to review it."

If the schools are not need blind, I don't know what you should do but I personally would not send in a fee waiver because it is like saying "hey I obviously need financial aid and I am just saying I won't apply for it because I want to get into the school" and they will see right through it.

hey thanks for the replies

i forgot to mention that i am an international student and i am not sure if NACAC is applicable to me.

just email the transfer coordinator or advisor or call UGA and tell them your situation. Usually it can be done via college board but sometimes an email or letter from your present counselor stipulating your financial hardship will suffice. I'd first talk to UGA and see what they said about it. they tend to be fairly accepting of students situations, especially in this economy.

im sorry but what does UGA means?

undergraduate admissions, I am assuming.
