My mind has been elsewhere for the past few weeks- and I just submitted my application (my transcript and all other required materials were sent previously) and I now realize that the app fee cannot be submitted online. And I'm freaking out. Will they except it a day late? I'll mail out the $50 first thing tomorrow but... yeah....

And, also, I don't quite understand what it says on their website: "Regular Decision: The application deadline for freshmen candidates for the fall semester is January 15. Freshman applicants with completed files will be notified of decisions by April 1. Applicants who complete their files after this date will be notified approximately two weeks after all credentials have been received. Applicants for the spring semester are required to file an application by December 1 and will receive a decision by December 15, assuming all credentials have been submitted. "

Huh? I'm probably confusing myself with this. But, okay, freshman applicants who complete their files after Jan 15 will be notified in two weeks OF WHAT? Automatic rejection? I'm so confused.

There is no mail service tomorrow it is a Fed Holiday. You are confused. If the application is not complete 15 Jan the two week date is 14 days after it is complete. So if your check isn't there by the 15th they may decide to notify you two weeks after they receive your check.

Today is the 15th.....it is a Sunday. Tomorrow is a Fed Holiday so no mail and maybe the office is closed. That puts you into Tues 17th.

The office might have an outgoing recorded message as to their work status for Mon.......you might be able to get the check there by Tues in which case you probably will have no delay in your response of acceptance.

I gotta hand it to 'ya........you are all wound up over something you should and could have easily avoided. This is like stepping in gum on a hot day........

Gotta love CC members for (a) stating the obvious and (b) trying to kick people down when they're already low. Yes, thank you for that, hazmat.

I had the same problem for Providence and Fairfield. I'm going to send the checks on Tuesday and ...... pray!!! Don't worry. If the schools freak out on us for having the checks in a few days late, that would be pretty rediculous.
I would call in a few days to check that they recieved the check and ask if there are any reprocussions.
