I am a Fall 2011 Applicant to Harvard from India. I have sent in my application and was given a password to check the status of my application online. On the status page it shows that Harvard College has received every part of my application except the Secondary School Report and Teacher Evaluations. These forms have been submitted online by my counselor and teachers . They assure me that on their CommonApp profile it shows that these forms have been downloaded by Harvard College.

Harvard has probably not updated the system yet - or they are still sorting through documents. Don’t worry; as long as it is downloaded, it is out of your hands! If the system hasn’t updated by the end of next week, then call them to double check.

actually i submitted my common app on 8th Dec.
My counselor submitted the SSR on 9th DEc. and the Int. Supp. on 10th Dec.
Nut i had submitted my harvard supplement on 22 nov.
my teachers had submitted their evaluation in early nov. and it was downloaded pretty soon. (they didnt tell me the exact date)

With these kind of dates, do you think there’s anythin to worry about?

Only when you submit your commonapp, then the schoolforms can be sent to the institution - otherwise they are simply loaded onto your commonapp account.

Open your common app account. Select Harvard University and then select schoolforms. In green it should say “Downloaded by College” and a date underneath it - what is that date? Considering that your forms were submitted yesterday, 10th Dec, you have no reason to worry yet! Check in a week, if things are still the same, call them. Otherwise, relax. It’s a weekend!

My school forms page doesn’t have any green download dates… should I be worried? I submitted my Common App on 12/9, and I assigned school forms back in october.
Also, is there a way to check my application status? (i.e. which forms have been successfully received?)

buzzer11 - give it a week or so for them to download. if you haven’t received an application acknowledgement in your email in about two weeks, then you should contact them. normally, the application acknowledgement email will contain details on how to check on the status of your application. give it some time before you start panicking.
