As this school year comes to an end, I have started to plan out applications for colleges in the late summer/fall. This has led me to a few questions for Auburn.
- When does the application open? I know some SEC schools (Bama, Ole Miss) open theirs in July and August. Is Auburn that early also?
- Rolling admissions, correct?
- Any essays or writing supplements on the application? Or is it just straight forward like Bama's is?
Thanks so much and War Eagle!!!

Some dates. How are your scores/GPA? If they’re pretty good you can apply early September 1 (not binding, just apply early and get to know early). “Applicants with excellent academic credentials can be admitted by Early Action beginning on October 15 for students who have completed an application and submitted all required documents.” So you can know by Oct 15th, which is really nice if your looking at a lot of colleges and want to know your options. The great thing about this (if you have good grades and test scores) is it is purely based on GPA and ACT/SAT scores. If you don’t make it this round, you will have to write two short essays though it looks like. The standards are a little higher at Auburn, which makes the regular application a little harder if you don’t get accepted in the early round. Alabama is a good school too though, but more for law/business.
Also, I’m not really sure what it’s called, but I don’t think it’s rolling admission. They have three “rounds.”
I’m looking at Auburn also, as well as Bama. Best of luck to you, and War Eagle!!
