As the deadlines for many schools approach, I want to create this thread for future applicants to receive advice about the application process. Take this as a way to take out your feelings and reflect on your prides(?) and mistakes.

Everything was mailed yesterday. Deo Gratias! Now comes the wait…

I made the mistake of applying to a school I didn’t want to go to. It was basically a safety, but there’s no point in getting left with a school you don’t want to attend. Luckily I got accepted into other schools so it didn’t become an issue, but make sure you think about it.
The other thing I wish I hadn’t done was talk about books I hadn’t read in my essays. It led to staying up late the night before trying, and failing, to finish them. It didn’t actually come up in my interviews, but it meant a lot of unecessary stress for me.

I felt like I was too hasty with my applications. I thought, “the sooner, the better!” but took it a bit too far…I’m cringing as I type-very certain that I’m getting rejected to a couplm of schools for my recklessness.

However, on a more positive note, interviews were a blast! I gained a lot of experience on how to get a mathy point across to a sports coach who knew naught of it (it was awkward at first, but became more fun as time ticked by.)

All in all, PS searching was well worth the experience. I’m not going to entertain dreams of going to GLADCHEMMS, but I certainly won’t lament about slim odds Best of luck to you all!

My teachers waited until yesterday to finish recommendations… sigh
Also, would anyone be interested in a PSA CC Facebook group? (For those who are lesser skilled in acronyms, Prep School Admissions College Confidential. ) I’m not a creeper, I swear.

Bumping this
