<p>I'm at school right now, attempting to concentrate & work.
All I can think about is March 10, 11, 12, or whenever my letter comes.
That's the thing that's freaking me out, I mean just by looking at the size of the letter I'll know my fate.
Gahhhh, I need to just get it off my mind.
Does anyone have advice on how to calm down?
I can't stand these butterflies!
:(</p>
<p>At least you have school you can try to do some work. I am sick at home and I am going crazy! what school are you applying to?</p>
<p>Oh God, that sucks.
I'm supposed to be looking up mock trials, but I just keep on refreshing CC & hoping for new threads to look at.
I'm applying to Emma Willard.
You?</p>
<p>Chatham Hall. Where is Emma Willard?
I keep refreshing CC too.
I think I have an obsession. lol.
I keep imagining scenes of me at bs, meeting my roomie, opening my (hopefully) acceptance letter, everything you could imagine.
When I don't even know if I'm in.</p>
<p>Troy, New York, which is way upstate.
Yep, I'm imagining scenes like that too.
In a way they're nice, but it just makes me feel all the more impatient.</p>
<p>i'm imagineing tons of scene, they all end in me getting into every school witha full scholarship and then suddenly becoming very rich and getting a lot of clothes.</p>
<p>That scene...is amazing.
:)
Glad to know that we're all in the same boat.</p>
<p>haha, I can agree with the lots of clothes dreams.
My mom said if I get in she will buy me a mini fridge. lol. :D (they are allowed at Chatham Hall i don't know about anyother schools.)</p>
<p>That is so cool!
I want a mini fridge.
:(
Haha, I don't think my school allows them.
Fire hazard, maybe?</p>
<p>Schools stopped allowing them because of energy usage; gotta be green!</p>
<p>I'm a vegetarian! Do I get a mini fridge???</p>
<p>I wanna be green, but I also want to save some leftovers if I get hungry and don't like that dinner. lol. Hey, is it true you gain the "freshman 15" at boarding school?</p>
<p>if your school doesn't allow fridges, buy one of those portable cooler things (the type you get for a car that plugs into the cigarette lighter) and an ac to dc power converter and just stick it in your closet. it's nice to have and the school won't find it (as long as you unplug and hide it during breaks).</p>
<p>Well...they could find it. In my son's dorm, they had room searches recently because someone reported something stolen. And they do have weekly room checks....but that's more of a once over for neatness (I think everything does get thrown into the closet before that!)
In my son's dorm, there is a 36" high "mini-fridge" on each hall for everyone to share. Also, everyone keeps the bottom drawer of their dresser stocked with food....esp. ramen. There is a microwave in the lounge.</p>
<p>Crickett, I'm a vegetarian too!
My school has lots of vegetarian options, which is good.
It would still be nice to have my own fridge, though.
They have them in the alcoves on each hall, but still like if you forget to label your unopened water bottle it might be gone the next time you check.
I'm just afraid of being caught, I hate getting in trouble.</p>
