I applied to Notre Dame EA and I did get an email saying that they "received my common app and will present it to the Admissions committee for review" (quote from my email). The email was sent to me 11/7, but I haven't gotten an email in since.

Does this mean that my entire (transcripts, test scores, etc) application is complete? Or just my common application? Also, should I email/call to make sure?

The email says “If we determine that we need additional information to finalize our review of your application, we will notify you via your Common Application email address” so they would have emailed you if there were parts of your application that were missing

My DD just received an email today from admissions that they were missing her teacher recommendation. I know that her instructors were having a difficult time with the Common App earlier in the Fall. She has emailed her instructor and requested he email the recommendation to admissions, and replied to Notre Dame that they will have the missing item soon. My question is, do you think this will kill her chances for EA, or push her back to RD? When does Notre Dame typically make their decisions for EA and send out letters?

Thanks for the quick reply, Drew! She was able to get ahold of her instructor and have him resend the recommendation last night, so at least it’s now showing the updated submitted date in the Common App. Hopefully it won’t delay her chances of being reviewed EA praying :)

It shouldn’t affect when her application is reviewed. I’m pretty sure that if she applied EA then they have to give her a decision of some sort (accepted, deferred, denied) in the EA timeframe. If that wasn’t the case I think they would have let you know :)
