I submitted the part II of my application but it's still labeled as "processing". Does this mean it was successfully submitted? Does anyone have the same problem?

Yes, it is. They process applications manually. Wait a few days, and it'll change to "Processed on mm/dd/yy."

But the thing is that I haven't received a confirmation email yet! I don't know. I'm getting really worried. Also, when I open the pdf file for the part II now, I still see the "draft" written on every page while there's no "draft" in the pdf for Part I that I submitted two months ago. Does this happen to you too? or to anyone else?

I don't remember having received a confirmation email for submitting part 2. But "draft" was removed from every page of part 2 when I had submitted it. Maybe Quinton has changed some things since I submitted my app, which was months ago. Anyway, I don't think you need to worry because your app status has changed to "Processing," which means that they have received your app.

I did recieve mine right after I clicked on submit. :) My part 1 has succesfully been processed today, but my part 2 is still "under processing"

I just called the Admission office. They said that a possible reason for not getting the confirmation email was that they weren't working on Dec 31. But I thought the email of confirmation is done automatically not manually. Did any of you submit the app on Dec 31 and still got the email of confirmation?

Should I print out my application and send it to them again? Do they mind two copies of applications?

Just wait a day or two before sending in your app. Most likely, they did receive it but if they didn't, they wouldn't penalize you in any way. IMO, it's worse to add to the flood of mail they're already getting.

MyMIT of mine shows my Part 2 as 'Processed'. However, I didn't get any thing to confirm the reciept of my Part 2 at MIT. Is it a big deal?

O.K. now I'm getting worried. My part I, interview, school report/transcript, and test grades are all set. But the part 2 app and the two evaluations are not yet processed. But, my teachers mailed the evaluations themselves, and my guidance mailed the app part 2 seperately as well. Since it's very unlikely both somehow didn't get to MIT, I should suspect that they just have a lot of mail right now, right? I mailed it a few days before christmas eve.

Don't worry, things take forever to be processed. My interviewer sent out the report the morning after my interview, but it didn't get checked for almost 3 weeks. I was really worried and one day it finally registered as Processed. My part two (submitted 1 hour before the deadline) still says processing, I did get an email, but I wouldn't worry if you didn't.

The only problem is that it doesn't say "Processing" but instead "Not processed." That's why I was worried maybe it didn't even get there....

But you are allowed to send the application in different parts right? I sent one evaluaton seperately.

I should have clarified, my part 2 was submitted online, so it reads "Processing" until it is "Processed." In other words, their computer knows you submitted it, and someone has to print it off and put it in your app folder (I assume). When you mail a form in, they don't have any idea that you mailed it. It will never read "Processing," it will go from "Not Processed" to "Processed." And yes, you can send everything seperately. Actually, I think all recs are supposed to be sent seperately or sealed/signed.

So your mail is there, sitting in a stack, waiting to be put in your folder. Don't worry.

Of course..you submitted it electronically.....nice analysis.

I am still missing one of my teacher evaluations. i'm afraid it has been lost in the mail or somethin. does mit accept the rec letter if i ask my teacher to send another one this week?

When did the teacher mail the rec paulhomework?

haha the only thing that shows as "processed" is my Part I. Part II is "processing" and everything else is "not processed"!

well... thank God, i don't have that problem. I've everything processed, except midyear. and I'm sending it tomorrow... uff...

well asfafan, my status is exactly as that of yours........but i am not worried because I know my counsellor has not send anything yet. He will probably send it tomorrow or day after that.
I dont think that it matters if your file is completed late. Afterall the reading starts in feburary. So dont start getting panic yet........

you're totally right, alixpaul
