So I submitted everything by probably October 20th for the University of Chicago. Everything. My school forms are guaranteed to meet the deadline when I sent transcripts and stuff through the school, so that should be ok. I got a letter from Chicago saying that my commonapp was recieved maybe the 25th?

Anyway, last week, I finally received a letter that said "Chicago has gotten everything and is looking forward to review your application"--2 weeks past the November 1st Deadline.

So did I still make the EA cut-off? This kinda bugs me =/

Yes you made the deadline! I got my email on November 18 as well.

Realize that many people do not submit until right before November 1, so Chicago has piles and piles of mail to go through at that time. It usually takes the admissions office two weeks or so to sort through all the mail at which time they send emails to everybody letting them know the status of their application.
