Application steps question: Bama login

I filled out the general application and would like to fill out the application for scholarships. Do I need to be invited to fill that out? How do I get the login information needed to do that? Also, is honors a different application? Just visited and loved UA!

Here’s excerpt from UA’s email about this process - you will need to wait a couple of days after applying, until you get a CWID (campus-wide ID), then proceed as directed - please note that Step 10 will NOT come up as available until you are actually accepted/admitted. Getting a CWID is your first sign that your application has been received (but not yet accepted). Good luck!

Point your browser to http://myBama.ua.edu. If you know your myBama password, login. If you do not know your password, follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the “Create your password (new users)” or “Reset your password” link.
  2. Enter your last name and CWID and click next page.
  3. If you agree to the terms of use disclosure, select the first option and click next page.
  4. Set up a security question and answer for your account.
  5. Set your new password.
  6. Make a note of your password.
  7. Return to http://myBama.ua.e du.
  8. Sign in with your username and the password you just created.
  9. To apply for Scholarships:
    • Once logged in to the myBama website, click the “Academic” tab and locate the “Application for Scholarships” link within the Scholarship box (3rd box, center, under ask SGA).
    • By submitting these pages you will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.
    • The priority date for entering freshman students to apply for scholarships is December 15.
  10. Once admitted, submit a Freshman Enrollment Deposit:
    • After logging in to the myBama website, click the “Academic” tab.
    • Within the Admissions box (on the left hand side of the page) locate “Admitted Undergraduate Students”, click “Submit Freshman Enrollment Deposit”.
    • On the Freshma n Enrollment Deposit Payment Page, click “Submit Deposit” Select payment method, click “Continue”.
    • Enter required payment information, click “Continue”.
    • Verify payment information, click “Continue”.
    • Receipt of payment will be emailed to the email address that you provided. You may also print confirmation of this payment.
    • Your next step is to proceed to housing http://housing.ua.edu/

Glad you loved your visit to UA! Because of distance, UA was the very last school my son visited. By that time, he had already been accepted and had receiving notification of his scholarships. After that visit, he didn’t see any reason to keep considering other schools!
