How can I find out if Stanford has everything?

Send them a mail and ask, they MIGHT reply if they're not too busy.
Also, they will tell you if anything is missing in your file in advance of the deadline.
Usually when they receive your stuff, they tell you what they got and what is left. However, some universities start processing received material at a certain time. Like NYU will only start processing fall 2008 apps in a month or so. But you can still mail them and they will tell you.

P.s. I don't know if Stanford has this, but Yale gives you an Eli a/c where you can check this online.

Stanford will email you if anything is missing, and give you a chance to send it in. This happened with one of my daughter's recs and her guidance counselor faxed it in. Make sure your email address works and that you check it.

unfortunately they don't seem to have a system for online status, as many other colleges do. (odd, given how good their eng and CS depts are!) They say they will email you.

My daughter did email them recently about completeness of her app, but got back a form reply saying that due to the heavy volume of email, they may not be able to send a personalized reply, so don't hold your breath to get status back from them.

Ok, thank you, everyone!
