<p>Is it better to apply early decision to a school (Yale) than to go through Questbridge and list them as your top school? Since I am only interested in Yale what merits/hinderances are there regarding the Questbridge Application and the Yale Application? Does Questbridge offer students more essay-writting and short answer oppurtunities or is it just about the same as Yale's application with regards to the writing portion?</p>
<p>Yale’s early option is SCEA, not early decision. I think you should apply early to a school if it’s clearly your first choice. Also, colleges don’t know how you ranked them so putting Yale first will not matter in that sense. The QuestBridge application will give you more opportunities to write with around twenty short answers and three essays.</p>
<p>QB: many more essays for you to write about your background, being able to apply to several schools “early”.</p>
