Small debate using pen vs. pencil to fill out the application. I say pen, what say you?

Pen as long as you can avoid mistakes that in pen would not be easily fixable.

PEN. Do not use pencil, please!

Pen. I use my trusty pilot g-2 gel pen in everything else anyways, haven't truly used a pencil in two years.

Pencil if you want the admission officers to want to scratch their eyes out... The reason we write with black is that it pops off of a white page.

Electronically, if available.

Pen looks better anyways, IMO.

I used pencil (I have the uncanny inability to avoid error) but then copied it so it was very dark and readable. I only had to do this with two essays, 4 out of 6 could be submitted online.

Pen looks more professional, and you spent time going slowly so you didn't make any mistakes. 'nuff said.

Thanks everyone, in the interim I have been enlightened to the "Erasable Gel Pen". Probably another MIT grad retiring early. If one knows any shortcomings of this new (at least to me) writing utensil please let me know. Thanks.

Make a photocopy of the app and fill out the copy in pencil. Once you have everything in good shape, carefully copy your working copy data onto the original in pen. Simple.

I love dave berry omgggg.

awww they took away my caps. it doesn't look dramatic now.
