<p>Right now I have a 3.4 weighted, 1870 SAT (670 CR, 600 M, 600 W), taking the ACT tomorrow, fingers crossed I'll do well.
So far I'm doing well first semester, I'm very confident that with my honors/AP weighted classes my gpa will come up to a 3.5.
I'm on my school newspaper, I was an editor in my junior year and am now News editor, which makes me responsible for the front two pages.
I worked this past summer in a state assemblyman's office (I have a rec letter from the assemblyman- does that help at all?)
I've volunteered 24 hours at my library tutoring local middle schoolers
I am in PUSH and was in SADD for two years</p>

<p>I've applied to a few other state safeties but here are my big ones:
Fordham (top choice)
American
Temple (OOS)
Rutgers (in state)</p>

<p>You should have no problem getting into Rutgers.
I’d say you have a decent chance of getting into Fordham.<br>
American might be a bit of a reach for you. I know the average weighted GPA there is pretty close to 4.
I don’t know much about Temple.</p>

<p>Thanks so much! Yeah AU is a bit of a reach, it’s not my top but I love DC so I figured I’d apply anyway. I showed a lot of interest too and I think that counts for something with them.
Can anyone else give me some advice?</p>
