<p>I have not received my username and password to chek my status yet. No response from the admission office......now how do i chek my application status? do they send the usrnm and psswrd through email or do they mail it??</p>
<p>they'll mail it. i called the admissions office on Friday to check my application, and the lady said that they'd be sending out the passwords and usernames this week.</p>

<p>they will MAIL it?! wont they email it?! godd...I am an international student and sometimes it takes months before I receive my mails!!!!!!</p>
<p>I wouldn't get worked up about it. All it says is whether or not they've received your materials, it's nothing very revealing.</p>
<p>I got my ID in the mail today. If you're anxious about it, you might want to call and check on your application.</p>

<p>i don't know what the policy for internationals is, but if you're really worried, you can call to confirm that they've recieved your application, and maybe even ask very nicely if they'd consider emailing your username and password, because of how long it takes you to get your mail. it wouldn't surprise me if they did.</p>
<p>swetaaa, I'm from Ireland and got mine this week. It only took 4 days to arrive so I wouldn't worry about it being delayed!</p>
<p>However, when I did check my stats, only three items were posted as being received. I immediately freaked out as I had a massive envelope with references, transcripts, etc that had been signed for at Smith (got a receipt from courier).</p>
<p>Immediately mailed the admissions office to tell them if there was anything missing from my application to mail me and I'll get it sent again.</p>
<p>They replied back (about 5 minutes later) saying everything was fine and was most likely received but there is a huge backlog in the office. Stuff that has been mailed to them is entered onto BannerWeb manually, which could take some time. However, The Comm. App. is entered as soon as it's downloaded (which now makes sense; my essay/short answers and SAT scores were up, but nothing I had mailed). She also told me to check back in one week for an update. </p>
<p>If the same happens to you (a date is put beside everything that has been received), just give it another week and recheck. It was incredibly sweet of them to mail me back ASAP as I am now a little less apprehensive about my application.</p>
