Applied calculus or calculus and trigonometry for International Business

Hi! I'm going to study in a community college and I plan to transfer to a University. I want to study International Business, but I don't know what kind of math I need! I can choose either math 121 (applied calculus) then math 122 or I can choose math 244 (precalculus with trigonometry) then maths 250, 251, an 252 (analytic geometry and calculus). Hope you can help me!

Definitely applied calculus. This course will cover the basic concepts of single variable calculus applied to business, economics and finance. I’m not sure whether the course will go into detail and cover things such as the Rolle’s Theorem, but it will definitely cover optimization, which is probably one of the most important concepts in business and economics.

Do you have the course description for each? Might be helpful just in case.

Thank you! Yes the description is: Emphasizes concepts and applications of algebra, analytic geometry and the polynomial calculus to solving problems in the physical, biological and social sciences. Requires graphing calculator. (Not open to students with credit in MATH 250 or equivalent.) [D; CSU; UC] and it is transferable to the University I want to go.

Thank you so much for your help!
