Applied To Fordham, now what?

@fallenchemist – I see you just made a correction and that is fine, but I"m just curious…how did you edit my post hours after it was finalized??? I thought only the poster could edit his/her own comments.

I am a moderator

I think it is great that high school seniors are posting here and helping each other with the application process.
I also found it very aggressive for an “elder” to question the login name (which I thought was very cute). I believe that particular post has scared them away from CC (but hopefully not away from Fordham.) There are many great colleges that high school students should be researching and applying to. They should not be limited to liking just one. Also, please respect the knowledge and experiences that current Fordham students such as Spirit77 and future applicants bring to the forum.

Please give me the post number and copy and paste the statement where they “stated openly” they applied EA. You cannot because it does not exist. Just because they have accessed the Fordham application website doesn’t mean they applied EA. People can apply RD any time after they open the application process up around September 1 or whenever it is Fordham does it. So that is one mistake you are making.

Another is that you did, in fact, mix up ImNYUobsessed as being the OP, yet you never admitted it.

Third, while you might know the difference between EA and ED, your comment in post #6 doesn’t demonstrate that at all.

So that must mean you think applying EA to Fordham (which was your assumption even though there is zero evidence that is the case) means that you don’t think NYU is his “dream school”, which is absurd. Applying EA to one school means nothing about how you feel about another school. Only ED or SCEA (also known as REA) would show that.

These are indisputable, plain for anyone to see facts. I have no idea what you are talking about when you say I am “taking sides”. People have a lot of latitude to post information on here, even wrong information because others can come along and correct it. But that privilege only goes so far. You are making wild assumptions about “roomies” and the like, and I see none of the abusive comments towards “elders” you are referring to on this thread. If those kinds of comments are made on other threads and they are out of line, then report them. But what you are doing here in your comments to me and to others is out of bounds.

Now, as far as I am concerned you and @spirit77 can get on with helping Fordham students.and applicants. However, in the future if you think something incorrect has been posted then DO NOT direct comments at the person that posted them, but simply state what you think is correct and give support for that position, usually through links to an authoritative source. That goes for everyone.

I remember when it came down to decision day (which was for us was in late March of 2013) there was a link that took you to a decision letter. I also remember having to set up a my.Fordham account (when, I don’t remember, it may have been around January or February of 2013) which also showed what paperwork they have received and waiting on (application and financial related). All of that was on the “Applicant” tab on my.fordham. When decisions come out, you might notice that the tab will change from “Applicant” to “Admitted Student”.

They seem to take a while, so all you need to do is wait depending on what kind of decision you chose.

Good luck!
