Apply during summer?

so my first choice school is SUNY Binghamton. its perfect for me. if they would allow it, I would do ED. But, alas, they don't so i'll have to deal and go with EA. The SUNY application comes out august 1st.

my stats are just a little below Binghamtons. I have an 89 average, as i slacked off as an underclassman, and i got a 1910 on the SAT. a 92 is about the average and my SAT is pretty dead on. i havent taken the act yet but according to the practice tests, which i time, i will get a 29 or 30.

so my question is since UB is rolling, should i apply asap(early september) or should i retake the sat or ACTs and apply early november?

cmonnnnnnn

Your chances are definitely increased if you apply to any rolling school earlier on; the admissions officers have more time to review applications and more spaces available. However, you have to ask yourself: will my credentials improve in senior fall? Having strong first quarter grades senior year will help and so will raising your standardized test scores.

My brother's stats were lower than yours and got in... But it's also going to be harder for the high school graduating class of '09 than '07 to get in.

that gives me hope. thanks. did he apply EA?

I don't believe he did. It was one of the last acceptances that he got besides schools he was wait-listed at.

any other opinions?
