apply to dgs then into engineering?

So i am going to be submitting my app during for the priority filing period and my basic stats are: gpa: 3.68 Sat 1: took it on 10/6 and expecting in the 1400 range +-20 (math/cr)

these are less than stellar stats for CoE (want to do aerospace) so i was thinking of applying to dgs, i would think i would get in b/c of the significantly lower stats, then transfer to the college of engineering.

Do a lot of people do this? Are they going to give me trouble down the road when I declare i want to do engineering.

If there is even a slight change of me not being able to study engineering i would rather apply to CoE to begin with.

Also are the students who apply to DGS guaranteed a spot in any major they want (except for bio engineering)?

No guarentees when transferring, so apply to AE, if you are accepted, no problem. If not, they’ll automatically offer DGS, if your stats merit it.

^100% agree
