I've been working really hard this year and was planning on taking the summer off and just relaxing, perhaps in a non-intensive summer program. The application for TASP seems pretty intense (I really don't want to do any work over my christmas break),is it really worth applying?

I'm a decent essay writer, did research at UF over the summer, currently doing research at Bascom Palmer, PSAT 198, SAT 2030. Do I have a chance; and will TASP actually help me in the college admissions process, or is it just a "self-enriching" experience?

tasp doesn't care about psats/sats at all. ec's, not so much either. essays, yes. six of them, actually.

i think it's worth a shot to apply, because the program looks amazing. it is a "self-enriching" experience, but possibly the best "six weeks of your life," as stated numerous of times by previous taspers. i'm currently in the process of applying myself.

so yes, apply.

Apply. TASP is not an intense summer program at all. In fact, my TASP summer was probably the most relaxing of all my summers in high school so far. You can do as much work or as little as you want. I was pretty lazy but sometimes it is good to do the reading so you have something to say.
