Are you allowed to apply Early Decision to a school, AND Early Action to other schools, if the early action schools are non-restrictive. I know if I am accepted to the ED school I have to go there, but if I don't, then I would still have a few other schools in my pocket as well...Thanks!

You have to read the rules of the ED school. It seems as though they allow you to apply to in-state and rolling admissions schools, but you have to check.

Actually, it’s the rules of the EA school that might be a little tricky. ED schools will allow you to apply to other schools that accept rolling, EA or RD applications. The only restriction is that you couldn’t apply to a second ED school. EA schools may have restricted EA, single choice EA, or other rules saying that you can’t apply to other early programs.

And yes, it’s a great idea to be able to apply to other schools EA if you’re applying to one school ED. It’s nice to have some backup options in your pocket.
