<p>teacher/counselor recommendation and secondary school reports are usually mailed directly by the school/teachers themselves. In that case, all you need to do is give them the forms. </p>
<p>I have heard of some cases where the school/teacher will give them to you in sealed envelopes. In that case, you can mail them to the admissions office along with a letter telling them what you are sending. Be sure to clearly marked down your name and SSN. Make sure always that the materials you send are sealed and untampered.</p>
<p>Ask your counselor and teacher if they can submit their recommendations via the CommonApp website. It is much more convenient for everyone, and plus, you can see for yourself when the letters have been submitted and then uploaded by Duke.</p>
