Applying for fall of 2010 Cornell

Is it ok that I’m still proofreading my essays? Is there anything wrong with handing in a few days before its due versus like a month, like everyone else here…

^Yeah, same question. I’m planning on submitting mine tomorrow, but I’m already paranoid that my ‘later’ submission is going to affect their decision somehow lol.

I think it’s okay. We have the deadline for a reason. I just submitted coz I want to focus on my study right now; I have orgo and physics exams next week… and the more I proofread my essay, the more paranoid I get

just realized in the package i sent on friday, i didnt put my email address anywhere (coz they dont ask for it in the instruction; i have full name, date of birth and address though). will they be able to process my file? im scared

I haven’t even really started my essays yet. Go me.

haha riley. that’s cause you know you’re basically in!!! just woo them again with talk of platypi and creating the universe and you’ll be good to go.

is it possible to write a appeal letter to Cornell?

^^ What? Have you heard from there already?!

^lol the deadline isn’t even there yet, no one heard from Cornell already

Yeah… I haven’t heard anything from Cornell, yet. I just want to know if I could or not…

doubt it, just apply next sem if you get rejected

yeah… that is what I thought so… :frowning:
ok… which one is better? taking harder classes and get Bs… and take easy classes and get As?

well, take hard classes and get As is the best :P

well, I know that, but I cannot do that… haha… but I wish i could :P

How important is that College Official record? The form asks for basically a letter of recommendation and im wondering what how important that is…my counselor doesn’t know me well

yea… my counselor put ‘I don’t know her personally, but she seems to be a good student.’ on the report. so… ?

haha awww luckeyg, I am sorry. I mean freshman rarely get appeals (and I mean rarely, a lot of parents are like, my little angel with a 1.0 didnt get in!!!) so I doubt freshman would :frowning: But hey! at least you can apply again, thats an opportunity that is worth a lot. And also don’t be thinking about not getting in, keep confident and positive! you will get in!!!

don’t worry, lots of college counselors dont know their students, so its ok if they can’t give judgement, Cornell will not hold that against you. Academic and dean advisors are kind of just there to say if you are in good standing or not. Your other recs will be more than enough to convey yourself to the adcom

LOL at Eriche’s response. LOLLL

@Castiel: Are we required to finish all Bio prerequisite (Bio 1 and 2) before we enroll assuming that we are accepted? I don’t think I’ll be able to take the second class this summer because of an internship but, I will have finished one bio requirement already.

Has anyone entered with none of the classes completed before? (3rd year)
