Got my acceptance for ILR a little while back although I was a GT. Feels so good to finally get my acceptance. Still really conflicted about whether to go or stay. Currently on a full ride in a fantastic program so paying 36k a year is quite a bit for my family (I don’t qualify for any aid). Good luck to the rest of you guys.

I’m just curious? Did any of you apply two different schools within cornell university? For example, it says on the application do you want to be considered for a second college (Human ecology, ILR, etc.).

if i remember correctly, I think that’s only if you’re applying as a freshman.

because i considered doing that for spring but then saw that we weren’t allowed. in that way it makes things less complicated for us and for admissions

something tells me that alot of us CCers will be finding out this week (weds/thurs)…Best of luck to all!

When I was applying, I only recall seeing a little note that stated that if you are not accepted at the shcool you applied to you may be considered for other schools within the university. However when I asked the ad com at the hotel school what they wew looking for, they wanted to see a genuine passion fot the school, and a clear path for what you want to pursue as well as rationale for wanting to transfer. I don’t think you could do all of that while applying to multiple schools, but then again anything is possible

@C2H5OH: Yeah exactly that! except my professor is super tricky and gives us crazy problems that i didn’t even know were Chemistry lol. What year are you?

I almost considered majoring in chemistry, but idk if I would like orgo(i hear its a lot of 3-d visualization which i cannot do) so I stuck with bio

Wow Blankwater you got into WashU! They want to see my spring grades before givign a decision. so that won’t be before june!
are u transferring from a 4 year school or a community college?

Of course Cornell is my unrivalled top choice, but it would be comforting to get into a good school like WashU, just in case.

@chris0089
I am transferring from a 4 year school. WashU makes their decisions pretty fast. So once you have your final grade, you should know the result. But, yeah…waiting is sux.

Seems like another slow day on the thread. My friend at Cornell said he saw April 12th somewhere, regarding decisions but I assured him it was false hope. So I googled it anyways and another thread arose where several CC members posted that Cornell decisions were released by email on April 13th, but I can’t find a credible source that states that!..anyone else see the 12th or 13th somewhere?

^I mentioned before that on last years thread that a cc user named dragon spank got into Cornell on April 13th by email, the fastest of anyone posted on cc for fall 2009.

Did anyone in this thread hear anything back from EOP or HEOP? I remember checking the box on the application stating I was an EOP student but I have not heard from EOP yet.

Well, I do recall contacting Leon Lawrence and speaking to him while I was on campus. He seemed to really like me, but I wasn’t eligible cause I wasn’t already in the program :(. However, he is a really nice guy and he put me in contact with Gretchen from the financial aid office and she was helpful. You should email him and let him kniw who you are and your situation. He responds really quickly, and on weekends. Ooh he also put me in contact with the admissions com for the hotel school where I made fnew friends on the ad com :).

Email: ll236@cornell.edu. (really nice guy, he is in charge of the HEOP/EOP (depending on state or private university) program at Cornell)
