Applying for finance but want to do premed?

For as long as i remember, i have always wanted to go into finance/business. 3 weeks ago, however, i began researching about cardiology and i really want to go into that - it seems very interesting and i have grown to love science throughout high school.

However, most of my activities are business related (founder of a nonprofit, working in a summer camp's office) and I haven't done any scientific research or internships because I just recently discovered this interest.

Would it look bad if i put down arts and sciences/premed as my major but don't have any of this research? the reason i did all of the other activities was to have more business background. i'm concerned that they'll just think i was lazy when i really just recently changed my major. Or should i apply for finance and change over if i'm accepted (is this possible?). Thanks!

Provided you can fit in the pre-med coursework, you can major in whatever you want to. Don’t worry about it.

Probably should put finance as your major, you can switch to a science major later or just do finances w/ premed courses. Don’t apply to finance programs though, just finances as an intended major. Switching major is painless at most schools.

thanks pancaked, i’m gonna do that!
