I have two things missing from my financial aid app. One is a "Statement that student did not file a federal tax return" and another is a "Federal Verification Form for Dependent students." But neither of the forms are there? I emailed the financial aid office and they said to use Collegeboard's forms. I don't see these forms on Collegeboard?

I think they are talking about IDOC from Collegeboard.

So if I did the idoc, I don’t have to worry about those two things?

Student Non-Tax Filer’s Statement
<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University;
- This form is for 2010-11 Academic Year – for the 2011-12 Academic Year form you need to log-in to IDOC (<a href=“Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) – CSS Profile | College Board”>Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) – CSS Profile | College Board).

Federal Verification Form for Dependent Students
<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University;

I did IDOC, but something still showed up missing from my D’s Hopkins financial aid app. It was something I was supposed to file through IDOC, but didn’t. In other words, the thing Hopkins said we were missing was actually missing. The two things listed as missing from your financial aid app sound very similar to some of the “additional documents” listed on the IDOC website. (See below.)

Copied from IDOC webpage:
If your IDOC Requirements tell you to print additional documents, you can print them here:
Non-tax Filer’s Statement
Verification Worksheet
Business/Farm Supplement
Institution Specific Documents

Does anyone know if there is a form students are supposed to fill out if they can’t send JHU any information about a noncustodial parent? I sent a letter from a third party declaring that I have no contact with my noncustodial parent, but I don’t think it went through.

Hey, I have this same question. Since it is past the deadline for css to be submitted, am I technically too late to apply for financial aid at hopkins because of this one form? or did they just need the CSS Profile itself by the deadline?

Are there other forms we need to fill out other that the CSS, IDOC, and FAFSA, to be considered for financial aid at JHU?

I just nearly had a heart attack… haha

Check ISIS. :)

My reply to all these questions … contact the Financial Aid office directly:
fin_aid@jhu.edu
410-516-8028

<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University;

So… not to be an ass or anything, but what questions should we direct here? Because I called the financial aid office yesterday and their attitude was pretty much “I’m swamped, go ask someone else”. I kind of assumed that asking online was less bothersome to the staff.

Always helpful, thanks AdmissionsDan…

If i get into Hopkins, i owe you a beer :)

First, did you review their web site and the detailed instructions on what is needed to apply for Financial Aid: [JHU Student Financial Services | Prospective Students | Freshman & Transfers | How to Apply](<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University)

Second, did you check your ISIS account which is set-up for financial aid applicants and provide details about missing forms and other alerts.

Third, there are three reasons I encourage people to contact the Financial Aid office:
- Financial Aid is a very individual process and therefore answers to questions can be quite different for one applicant versus a second applicant.
- I do not work in the Financial Aid office and do not have access to any of their records. Therefore I do not answer questions that I do not have direct connection to.
- Asking online is a good idea, so I would encourage sending them an e-mail if calling did not help. But asking online here where no official in the JHU Office of Financial Services responds to questions is in my opinion not the best idea.

Sorry I can’t be of more assistance, but I hope you now understand why.
