Applying for honors AFTER being accepted?

Is it possible? I didn't apply for the honors program when I applied for UW last November. I recently got my acceptance letter and I was wondering if there was any way to apply now? Maybe after freshman year?

If anyone has any idea or links, please share! If there's a chance I can get into the honors program now then I definitely want to try

It is possible to apply towards the end of your first year here.

Here is the information: [UW Honors - Late Admission](Interdisciplinary Honors Admissions | University of Washington Honors Program)

You can also do departmental honors without doing the College Honors Program. Departmental honors admission is major-specific, so no one can apply until after they declare their major. Honors science classes (excluding bio) are open to all students who can place into them. If you are a science major interested in doing the Honors Program, I’d recommend registering for an honors science class this fall because you’ll need honors science classes to fulfill the requirements for the Honors Program. From what I’ve heard, the biggest reason people drop the Honors Program is they find they have trouble fitting all the required classes into four years. Taking honors science classes freshman year regardless of whether you’re in the honors program is a great way to get started so you don’t get into the program late then discover you’d need to stay in school an extra quarter or two to fulfill the requirements.
